The Black Caucus of Ohio’s Legislative, some business owners and state leaders, revealed that they are working tenaciously to increase the number of minority-owned businesses in Ohio.
Democratic Rep. Thomas West (D-Canton) discloses that there are two developmental projects in progress to increase the 125,000 minority business. The projects involve the partnership between local minority communities, state and local governments, and businesses to assist aspiring black entrepreneurs to start-up their business.
The projects are working with Ohio’s non-profit job creation company, JobsOhio and ELITE Americas – which is a British company that has followed the footsteps of the London Stock Exchange to make Cleveland the headquarters of its US investments.
JP Nauseef, The CEO and President of JobsOhio, says that minority small businesses are employers to about 53,000 Ohioans.
