Free event offers a dynamic opportunity for women in business from various sectors to get educated, to share information, and to get renewed inspiration about the rewards of business ownership. โ€”

College Park, MD โ€” The 8th semi-annual Womenโ€™s Entrepreneur Expo (WEE) will be held on Saturday, October 29th, 2016 at the Nyumburu Cultural Center, University of Maryland, in College Park from 11am to 3pm. The business expo is free to attend, and is designed for both aspiring and established women entrepreneurs who want to share practical business tips, to be educated, and to reignite their enthusiasm in being business owners.

In the past, women business owners have traveled as far as New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia to attend the event. This yearโ€™s expo will feature four award-winning speakers (Chereace Richards, Chris Bridges, Stephanie Poplar, and Shirley Luu) who will provide free educational, interactive, and hands-on workshops. Their topics of discussion will include
WEE was founded by entrepreneur Joan Henry, who birthed the idea from her passion to motivate like-minded women in business. Henry comments, โ€œThings are tough for business owners which is why the event has FREE admission. We recognize that business owners need other business leaders to keep them motivated.โ€

She continues, โ€œThis will be done by providing practical information, hands-on experience and the chance to do true networking with these business leaders in order to remain motivated, keep others employed which plays a part in continued economic growth for various communities that touch many parts of Maryland and I may add โ€œwe have a great location to do it.โ€
