Momcomm Launches New eBook: the Do-It-Yourself Blog Critique

Published on

Raleigh, NC, August 24, 2011 –(PR.com)– Today Momcomm (http://www.momcomm.com) announced its first eBook, the DIY Blog Critique, that helps women bloggers improve their blogs through an in-depth critique.

“When Momcomm began, I started offering free blog critiques where I critique a blog in exchange for the critique being public for others to learn from,” said Momcomm owner Melissa Culbertson. “As it grew in popularity, I wanted to find a way to help a wider audience with their own blogs.”

The DIY Blog Critique eBook is a 58-page guide that walks readers through a 43-point critique covering prepwork, design, navigation/functionality and content. The eBook also includes a spreadsheet to help bloggers keep track of their progress.

“This eBook is a checklist on steroids,” said Culbertson. “I not only walk you through elements of a good blog, I teach you why they are important. Calling it a checklist just scratches the surface.”

The eBook is divided into four main categories:
Prepwork: This first part of the critique includes two tasks, getting bloggers prepped for the rest of critique by creating a clear picture of their blog.

Design: This section covers everything from fonts and colors to branding and taglines. Bloggers run through 17 points to make their blog design professional, consistent and a reflection of them.

Functionality Navigation: This section focuses on ten ways to make a blog more user-friendly, both to blog readers and to search engines.

Content: Regardless of what a blogger writes about, there are some universal truths to great content. This section covers 14 ways to improve writing, increase engagement and extend content to the next level.

In addition, Momcomm is offering an affiliate program so bloggers can earn commission when someone they refer purchases an eBook.

Bloggers can purchase the DIY Blog Critique eBook on Momcomm’s site for an introductory price of $14.
